dockside.net Inc. is a Veteran-owned business that has been developing Internet-based applications since 1995.
Dockside has developed and managed a number of Application Service Provider (ASP) systems -- also known as "software-as-a-service" applications. In addition to G2Alert, Dockside's other successful software innovations and applications include Smartdog.org and the widely used SMART Internet Marketing system.
- In July 1998, Smartdog.org, Dockside's local high-tech recruitment web site, was named one of the world's top fifty Internet sites in the second annual CIO Magazine's prestigious 50/50 Awards. Later, in December of that year, Dockside won the Rochester Business Journal's "Best of the Web 1998" Award for the Smartdog web site.
- In May 1999, Dockside was cited by Advertising Age magazine as a case study for online catalogs, recognizing its development of Transcat Corporation's Internet Catalog.
- In the fall of 2001, Dockside launched a new service provider application known as SMART Internet Marketing, a complete suite of E-Marketing tools that includes Email Newsletters, Surveys, Sweepstakes, and Links. Currently, more than 70 organizations use SMART worldwide.
- Dockside has been certified by Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, and BEA Systems
